RETURN & REFUND POLICY
Thank you for supporting Seam Work Art. Because our studio specializes in independent, handcrafted 1-of-1 upcycled garments and wearable art, our production process differs significantly from mass-produced retail brands.
Please read our return and refund guidelines carefully before making a purchase.
1. All Sales Are Final
Due to the exclusive, one-of-a-kind nature of our wearable art pieces, all sales are final. We do not accept returns, cancellations, or exchanges for change of mind, buyer’s remorse, or improper fit.
2. Sizing & Measurements
Because each piece is manually deconstructed and reconstructed using various pre-owned or heritage blanks, the original size tags may not reflect modern standard fits.
-
Detailed, exact lay-flat measurements (such as pit-to-pit and length) are provided in every single product description.
-
It is the customer's responsibility to review these measurements and compare them with their own clothing before purchasing. We cannot offer refunds or exchanges if an item does not fit you.
3. Product Vintage Characteristics
At Seam Work Art, we celebrate the history and soul of textiles. Our garments are artfully remade using pre-owned materials, heritage fabrics, and vintage tapestries.
-
Minor imperfections, signs of gentle wear, fading, raw edges, or slight stitching variances are intentional characteristics of the manual upcycling process and historical fabrics.
-
These elements are part of the artistic design and are not considered manufacturing defects or damages.
4. Damages and Issues
We inspect every piece rigorously before shipment to ensure high-quality studio standards. However, if you receive an item that is fundamentally defective or if we sent you the wrong item by mistake, please contact us immediately.
-
You must contact us within 3 days of delivery at
support@seamworkart.com. -
Please include your order number and clear photographic evidence of the issue.
-
If approved, we will provide instructions on how to proceed with a partial refund, store credit, or return processing.
5. Lost or Stolen Packages
Once a package is handed over to the shipping carrier (USPS, UPS, DHL, etc.) and a tracking number is provided, Seam Work Art is no longer liable for transit delays, lost shipments, or stolen packages. Please contact the shipping carrier directly to file a claim regarding delivery issues.
